Church Staff
Cris Powell (Senior Pastor)
Brother Cris has served in the ministry alongside his wife, Bridget, ever since they were married in 1991. From 1991 to 1996, he served in various ministry positions (pastor, youth pastor, music minister) in Garland, TX, Greenville, TX, and Bedford, TX. In 1996, he joined the staff of Castleberry as a youth pastor and served in various associate pastor capacities for 5 1/2 years. In 2002, they moved to Weatherford, TX, where Brother Cris pastored for 13 1/2 years, from 2002 to 2015. Cris and Bridget came back to Castleberry in September of 2015 to prepare for a pastoral transition, when Dr. Larry Cornell began making plans for retirement. Bro. Cris was elected as the Lead Pastor of Castleberry in March of 2016. Brother Cris preaches the Word of God without compromise and genuinely cares for the members of the congregation. Brother Cris and Bridget have four grown children and four grand-children.
Tina Medeiros (Office Manager)
Tina has been serving in our church office, providing much-needed help and leadership to all of our staff since 1995. Her excellent organizational skills have always been a great blessing to all of our staff and our church family. Tin is also involved in the children’s church ministry, where she has faithfully been teaching Sunday School for many years. Tina and her husband, John, have one grown daughter.
Suzanne Stewart (Pianist)
Suzanne is an accomplished pianist and musician who has faithfully served in the music ministry here at Castleberry since 1988. She is highly talented, extremely professional, and has a willing heart to serve the Lord (as does her wonderful family). She is a retired elementary school teacher. Suzanne and her husband, Wood, have one grown son, and two grandchildren.
Brett Powell (Youth Pastor/Worship Leader)
Brother Brett joined our staff and began leading worship for Castleberry in March of 2016. The worship team strives to bring a variety of Biblical songs, both new and old, that exalt the Lord and prepare the congregation for the message from God’s Word. In November of 2017, Brett also began leading the Youth Ministry at Castleberry. He teaches the youth on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening, and he and his wife, Ashley, plan events for them throughout the year, including an annual Summer Camp. Brett and Ashley met at church as young teenagers, and have been married since 2016.
