Sunday Worship @ 11:00 am
On Sunday mornings at 11:00 am, we have our main Worship Service in the worship center/auditorium. We have a time of giving, prayer, and updates. We always have congregational worship which consists of both modern worship songs and classic hymns. You can also always count on hearing a sermon from the Bible, typically from pastor Cris. Our sermons are usually, verse-by-verse, expository style messages through a book of the Bible. After the sermon, we like to have a time of “invitation” in which you may respond to the message. If you need prayer or have questions about salvation or baptism, you are invited to come forward to speak to speak with one of our counselors. If you do not have a Bible, don’t worry. We have some available and you can feel free to take it with you when you leave! During this service, we have a nursery available as well as Kid’s for Christ service for children 4 years old through 6th grade for anyone who is interested. Children who want to attend Kid’s for Christ service should be dropped off at the Sunday School class corresponding to their age. *There is no Kid’s for Christ on the 5th Sunday of any given month. We use this as an opportunity for children to worship with their families and learn how to behave in church.
Small Groups @ 10:00 am
On Sunday mornings at 10:00 am, we have Small Group meetings. These are like traditional Sunday School classes. We split up into groups based on age, get to know one another better, and learn more about the Bible. Classes dismiss around 10:45 just in time for the start of our Worship Service. Small Group meetings are a great way to learn more about the Bible, and to get connected better with the church family. We have the following classes available:
-Nursery (up to 3 years of age)
-Pre-K & Kindergarten
-1st - 3rd Grade
-4th - 6th Grade
-Student Ministry (7th - 12th Grade)
-Young Adults
-Women of Worship (For women of all ages)
-Companion Class (For middle aged adults)
-Fellowship Class (For senior adults)
Wednesday Bible Study @ 7:00 pm
On Wednesday Evenings at 7:00 PM, we have something for the whole family. We begin our service in the Fellowship Hall for a few songs of worship. The adults stay in the Fellowship Hall for a Bible Study and Prayer Meeting. After the worship, students (7th-12th grade) and Kid’s for Christ (4 years - 6th grade) dismiss to their Bible Study gatherings. Nursery is also available during this time for children 3 years old and younger. *There is no Kid’s for Christ on the 5th Wednesday of any given month. We use this as an opportunity for children to worship with their families and learn how to behave in church.
Kid’s for Christ
Our children’s ministry at Castleberry Baptist Church is called ‘Kid’s for Christ’. This is for kids 4 years old through 6th grade. During our 11:00 am Sunday Worship Service and 7:00 pm Wednesday Bible Study, Kid’s for Christ is available for your child to attend. Kid’s will enjoy a Bible lesson, songs, games, crafts, and sometimes snacks. We have various events throughout the year and a Vacation Bible School every summer! All of our staff and children’s workers are background checked because we care about the safety of your children. *There is no Kid’s for Christ on the 5th Sunday or Wednesday of any given month. We use this as an opportunity for children to worship with their families and learn how to behave in church.
Student Ministry
The Castleberry Student Ministry is for teens in 7th-12th grade. This ministry seeks to teach teens the Bible so that they can be saved, discipled, given a Biblical worldview, and trained to do the work of ministry. In our youth group, lifelong friendships are being built, students are growing in their faith, and learning how to use their gifts to serve the church. Our Student Ministry meets every Sunday during our 10:00 am small group time and every Wednesday at 7:00 pm. We hold monthly youth events as well as a Youth Summer Camp every summer.
Worldwide Missions
At our church, fulfilling the Great Commission is something that we take very seriously. That is why we support many ministries and missionaries here in the United States and throughout the world. You can have confidence that when you give, your money is being used to take the Gospel around the world.
-We support individual missionaries in the following countries: Belgium, Botswana, Brazil, Chile, Congo, Costa Rica, Ecuador, England, Ethiopia, Greece, Guatemala, Italy, Ivory Coast, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, South Sudan, Spain, Tanzania, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Wales, Zambia, and various creative access nations. We also support missionaries in the United States to the Ute Tribe, Navajo Nation, Arab Americans, as well as a missionary to Missionary Care.
-These missionaries are supported through the following organizations, fellowships, and clearinghouses: Baptist Bible Fellowship (BBFI), Central Missionary Clearinghouse, Manna Worldwide, Mission 823, World Baptist Fellowship (WBF)
-Here in the United States, we support the following organizations and ministries: Arlington Baptist University, Baptist Bible College, BBFI Mission Office, Fort Worth Pregnancy Center, New Birth Prison Ministries, North Texas BBF, Texas BBF
-On a local level, our church has opportunities throughout the year in which we go throughout the neighborhood to invite people to church for various events such as Easter and VBS. This is also an opportunity to pray with people and share the Gospel with those who have never heard.
-For those in need of food, our church has a food pantry that is supplied by donations from our members.
Transportation Ministry
